Cannot install Flash b/c conflict w Firefox. EdMeister says download Flash installation plug to Desktop, but I cannot put it on Desktop, Firefox only lets me download directly into Firefox downloads.

I am being forced to close down Firefox to install Flash (Flash FOR Firefox I might add), because there is a conflict with Firefox. So after I download the newest Flash, which goes somewhere I don't know but it looks like it goes into a Firefox specific download area, then I close Firefox but I don't know where to find the Flash plugin which I have downloaded 8-10 times.

Where is this downloaded new version of Flash for Firefox for Win 7-64 bit OS? I would have saved it to the Desktop like EdMeister tries to advise but I cannot save it there when downloading in FROM Firefox. If I download it via Chrome or IE it won't be the Flash for Firefox, will it?.

This is taking me in a vicious circle to nowhere.

See:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > General : Downloads : "Always ask me where to save every file"

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
