Unknown sync error

I'm trying to move to a new PC, and wanted to use Sync to get my bookmarks and open tabs across (I have lots of tabs open and Tab Utilities and TabGroup Manager installed). I'm using Firefox 8.0 on one (it claims it's up to date) and 8.01 on the other. I created a Sync account, and it looks like it stored something on the server, because if I check the quota it shows quite a bit of data (especially in history, which is about 1.3MB).

However trying to sync on the new PC doesn't do a thing. Once after a long while I got a message at the bottom that Sync encountered an unknown error, but I can't recreate this (haven't waited enough again, I guess).

Any suggestions what I can do to get it working?

Hi!

Make sure that you give it another try. History take some time to get completely synced.

If you hit the Unknown error again, please, take a look to this blogpost to learn how to fill a bug so the development team can take a look to the specifics https://philikon.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/how-to-file-a-good-sync-bug/

Thanks for the reply. I ended up syncing with xmarks, which worked. Since I only wanted that to move settings from one PC to another, I don't plan to use Sync again soon.
