I have Firefox 10.0 on my new computer. I tried to resize the awesome bar like I did on my other computer by the user chrome in the containing folder, but there is no user chrome in this containing folder. is there another way to resize the awesome bar?

Chosen solution

Place the mouse pointer between the Location bar and the Search bar and it will become a resize icon that you can drag right or left to adjust the relative size of the two bars.

If you have some buttons in-between the Location bar and Search bar, then you can place those button on either the left-side of the Location bar or on the right-side of the Search bar.

Check and tell if its working.
