Why is it so difficult to find an answer in Firefox help (704 returns does NOT help me answer my ONE simple question, which was: How do I turn off the feature that keeps blocking every download I try to make?)?
FF10. Every time I try to download a file, it blocks the transaction with a Windows Internet Explorer style ribbon at the top of the Window. This is very annoying. How do I turn it off? I can not wade through 700+ returns on the help search.

I am unable to now duplicate the problem. It seems to have vanished on it's own. It was giving me a small strip across the top of the window under the Firefox menu bar. I believe the banner said "Firefox has blocked a web site attempting to download a file onto your computer" and there was a button on the right labeled "Allow". I thought there was a setting for that somewhere, and another to block re-directs, and now I can find neither. I had v.9.0 and it auto-updated to 10.

"Windows Internet Explorer style ribbon at the top of the Window. "
Any wording with that ribbon?
Can you provide a screenshot of it?

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

I am marking this "solved" for now, but do appreciate your response!
