I cannot download Firefox. When I hit the download button the pop-up box which would ask me if I want to open or save the file disappears without letting me click an option.
I have been trying to download Firefox without success. I hit the download button and, normally, a pop-up box would appear asking me to open or save the file. A empty box appears momentarily and then disappears. The problem may be with Internet Explorer 6. However, I have tried to update to IE 8 and the same problem as above occurs on the Microsoft website. I feel that there is a little bit of IE 6 missing. Any ideas? Thanks Sandra

Hi,
Please also try right-clicking on the link corresponding to the language version and Save Target As to save the Firefox installer. If the problem persists, posting here would also be helpful.
If you run Windows updates (Start > All Programs > Windows (or Microsoft) Update), install all the most recent updates (you may have to do it several times, one should be IE8) then try downloading again, does it work?
You are right, it may just be IE6 being weird.

I can't believe Firefox support is as weak as it is. IE won't allow me to download firefox and I can;t get a straight answer from firefox. Guess they don't want me.
i'd suggest that you open up a new question and describe in more detail (error messages, popups, etc.) what happens when you're attempting to download firefox from getfirefox.com
