I've just updated to firefox 10.0.2 and now a site that I have visited frequently that contains a live traffic cam will no longer load. The site is at http://video.dot.ca.gov/asx/D5-Morrissey-Blvd-at-1.asx

Chosen solution

The link http://video.dot.ca.gov/asx/D5-Morrissey-Blvd-at-1.asx works fine for me using the Windows Media Player plugin. Your plugins list shows both Npdsplay.dll (the OLD WMP plugin, included with Windows XP) and np-mswmp.dll, which is the NEW Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox plugin.

The old plugin may be causing a conflict with the new plugin. Try disabling the OLD Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library (File name: npdsplay.dll) in the Firefox Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins list.

Can you check this issue on Firefox 11?

Just downloaded 11. Still doesn't work. Pops up an external player that also won't play the live streaming video. Chrome plays it fine.

Thanks for posting back to let us know that disabling the old WMP plugin was the solution.
