Firefox browser will not open. I've downloaded the most recent version, and sought help, but it simply tells me to open up the browser window and reset via troubleshooting... this is fine and all, but I cant do that if I cant open up a browser window. I'm hesitant to uninstall and reinstall because I'll lose everything. Is there an easier way?

Let me clarify... how do I launch it in "Safe Mode" if I cannot open a browser window to change my settings to "Safe Mode?"

it is described in the link, i've provided. essentially hold the shift-key while clicking on the firefox icon...

edit: or hold the windows-key+r & open "firefox.exe -safe-mode" (without quotes)

you're very welcome - could you reset firefox in safemode & is it starting up normally again now?

I could, and it did. Thank you! I started it in "Safe Mode" and then reset it. It has been working like a champ ever since.
