My restore previous session button is gone from the home page. How do i get it back?

Today when i started Firefox it no longer had the restore previous session button. I have not changed anything since last time i browsed and the button do not appear even if i close down Firefox with tabs/windows open. Please help

Are you keeping the history?

  • Do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the "Browsing History".

Does it work if you select this?

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: When Firefox Starts:
    • Show my windows and tabs from last time

You can also test for problems with Session Restore:
