Desktop shortcuts to websites do not work.dragging theURL on the address bar, copying and pasting from bookmarks zaand saving file from menu
Tried creating the shortcuts by dragging the URL on the address bar, copying and pasting from bookmarks and saving file from menu bar. I've always been able to use this shortcuts before, I don't know exactly when this started , probably a couple of weeks ago. I'm using the Firefox version 14.0.1

Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)
- You can open the Firefox 4.0+ SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.
Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

You can't drag selected text to the desktop to create a shortcut.
You need to drag the icon (Site Identity Button) on the location bar or another valid link to the desktop to create a shortcut.
Yes that's what I meant, the way you say it is the way I do it. The shortcuts are created in any way I do it, but when I click on them Firefox doesn't start . By the way, Firerfox is my default browser.
I tried what you said, but it's the same, the shortcut is created but doesn't work
Make sure that Firefox is set as the default browser.
