I'm not sure, how but I got an annoying add-on, supposedly called "Expresso" which continually displays annoying pop-up add bars all along the bottom of the screen, and a wider one along the right side. I clicked on the the little help icon and it said to just go to my add-ons menu and delete Expresso. However, said add-on is not showing on the list. Nor does it show up on my list of programs to uninstall. I am getting REALLY annoyed trying to get this off my browser and am ready to switch to Opera or Chrome. Can you tell me how to find this thing and get it off my browser?

hello, go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

Yeah, I've gone to my list and done that, but it's still there. All I have on add-ons now are recognizable (google, java, shockwave).  :(

the ones you've mentioned are probably plugins & not extensions... please also run a scan with the two tools recommended above, since they can detect & remove many sorts of adware.

thanks, I did try that and it did indeed look like it found a bunch of "junk" on Firefox, but after the wipe, this particular one is still showing up.  :( VERY annoying. Guess I'll just have to start using another browser.

So it turns out that's what I had to do to get it off. THANKS!
