yahoo mail log in box comes up when opening firefox

when trying to open mozilla firefox browser a box labeled yahoo mail sign on comes up asking for name, password and you have choice to enter that info or can hit cancel. When i hit cancel it will remove the box and allow me to use firefox page. I need to remove this box and i dont know how. Thanks

You have an extension named Yahoo! Mail Notifier. Can you check its Options or just Disable it on the following tab to see whether that is the culprit?

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

(You often need to restart Firefox in order for an Extension to be disabled. In this case, since the problem only occurs at startup, you can just wait until your next startup after disabling it.)

I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. That solved the issue. Thanks
