Installed Firefox on Windows 7 but the menu and icons bar is full of little horizontal lines over the icons and menu bar..
I installed Firefox 21 on a new Windows 7 OS. The menu bar and the icon bar at the top of the windows is full of little horizontal lines. Sometimes there are more lines and sometime less lines. It makes the icons and the menu items almost impossible to see. So far it's only the Firefox screen that does this. The other programs I installed so far doesn't do this.
Any ideas?

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Hi amitshree
I tried it but still the same problem. I assume it has something to do with the windows theme but then why does the other applications I installed not have this problem.
I've tried (hope it shows!) to attached a small portion of the screen grab that will show what it looks like (see on the menu bar). In this image it's only a few lines. Sometimes it's a lot more. Sometimes the whole blue portion is full of those marks.
If I select to put the tabs below the icon bar (which is the way I prefer) the whole icon bar is full of them as well.
These lines are there without any addons installed. I initially thought it might be one of the addons so removed them all but still the same.
How do I get the image to show bigger?
Ok. Definitely has something to do with the themes. Turned transparency off and now it displays without the little lines.
Can live without the transparency so thanks for the input.

Thanks cor-el.
It looks like it solved the problem. No lines displaying yet.
