How to synchronize Firefox with Android?
I've got some problems with the synchronization of Firefox on my laptop with my Android device. I followed the instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/share-bookmarks-tabs-and-more-your-other-computers and everything worked fine until the very last step. According to the article, the synchronization should be completed when the code is accepted, but instead, I get a log in screen for my Sync account. When I hit the "I have an account" button, I've got to fill in my account, password and Recovery key, but the problem is that I don't have that Recovery key. According to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-manage-my-firefox-sync-account#w_where-can-i-find-my-recovery-key, I should simply go to the Sync screen and click "Manage account", but there's no such link. What must I do?
Chosen solution
Good news! After I entered the 3x4 code, I was redirected to the Sync set-up screen as usual. I followed the instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information#w_ive-lost-my-recovery-key (remember I couldn't find my Recovery key). Miraculously, it worked this time! My problem is finally solved and everything works fine now! Thanks for all the help @cor-el!

On which device (computer) do you have this problem to set up sync?
Is that on the desktop computer and do you have sync installed on the mobile device?
Or is sync installed on the desktop and are you trying to add the mobile device or does Sync still need to be set up on both devices?
- Android OS > Settings > Accounts > Firefox Sync > Pair a new Device
Both devices need to be online at the same time if you want to pair a device with the (3x4) 12-character code. Sync needs to be set up and working on at least one (desktop) computer, so you can enter the 12-character code, provided by the device (computer) that you want to pair, in three fields to pair a device on the computer that has a working Sync setup. Enter all details like the account name (email address) and password and the 26-character Sync key manually to connect to an existing sync account instead of using the 12-character code to pair a device if pairing isn't possible.
- open "Tools > Options > Sync" or "Firefox > Set Up Sync"
- click "Set Up Firefox Sync" to go to "Firefox Sync Setup"
- click "I Have an Account" : Connect
- click "I don't have the device with me" at the bottom to enter the account settings (email, password, sync key)
@cor-el: sync is installed on my computer and I'm trying to add it to my mobile device.

Did you look here:
- Android OS > Settings > Accounts > Firefox Sync
Yes, but of course I don't have a Sync account on my mobile yet...
