Is there any way to extract the info from my .bak and .js files ?

I am not able to restore my tabs from last time, i have the .bak file, but when i rename the .bak file to .js and paste it in roaming/profile/blablafolder/ and then open firefox, firefox doesn't restore any tabs, it just overwrites the .js file i pasted, noting else happens. Yes, i've chosen "show my tabs and windows from last time" from settings. What should i do ? Is there any specific software to exracts the web pages i was on from .bak file ?

If History > Restore Previous Session is available, go ahead and use that to see whether that resolves the issue.

If that doesn't help, there are ways to extract the URLs for the earlier session windows and tabs. These threads have suggestions on how to "mine" the old file to extract the URLs:
