Try this:

  1. Go to about:config
  2. Search for: browser.search.defaultenginename
  3. Right-click>Modify it to: Google.co.uk

You can find more search engines on the Mycroft Project website.

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites (Google) that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
