I suspect I inadvertently clicked somewhere that deleted my address book. This, in and of itself, is not a major problem, though it is an inconvenience. The last time this happened, the address book was repopulated as I sent e-mails. This time, though, e-mail addresses to which I send are not being added to my address book, nor can I add one manually. The drop-down that allows me to specify where to automatically add outgoing addresses is empty. How do I reset?

sounds like corrupt files, rather than missing ones.

Help menu (alt+H) > troubleshooting information. Click the show folder button close Thunderbird rename history.mab and abook.mab or move them out of the folder Restart Thunderbird The files, which are not missing, should be recreated on startup.
