My ISP changed nameservers and after pointing TB to the new ones, all my subfolders are missing. Email being sent/received OK.
Hello,
First off, thank you for any help you can give.
After my ISP changed to new nameservers, I changed TB's IMAP server name to the new one under Server Settings and changed the outgoing setting. Now, instead of dozens of subfolders under the Inbox, all that's left are Archives and Trash. Mail is coming in OK and going out OK now but all the subfolders for the last four years are missing in the Folders pane.
I made a backup of the profile and based on sizes and dates, all the mail appears to be there of course. But where are the folders and their content? Tried changing the ImapMail subfolder name to match the new nameserver (it was named with the old nameserver's name), but no joy.
Any idea what got changed and how to restore the folders?
Again, thanks!

That did the trick. All folders and email are downloading now. Everything's restored. Sorry about the false alarm.

Found that the folderTree.json file appears to be the index to the subfolder tree hierarchy. All the prefixes to the subfolder names have the old nameserver as a prefix to the string containing those subfolder names.
IE: one of the strings with the old nameserver string with the subfolder named "Steinberg" under the Inbox:
,"imap://wavydavy%40daveaustin.com@metro702.hostmetro.com/INBOX/N-Z/Steinberg",
The new nameserver is metro704.hostmetro.com
Is it just a question of sweeping through the json file and changing the "702" string to 704? I don't want to get too deep into experimenting with changes if someone knows the answer without me buggering things up more than they are now.
Nope. Making that change did nothing for the missing folders. Restoring from backup and still scratching my head.
Just noticed that all my Sent mail from that nameserver's account are also gone.
One more clue: the account's webmail has all subfolders with their data.
Since webmail is intact, I guess all I need to do is recreate the account in TB and resync the mail. Let's see how that works...
