Allow a specific page to be the web proxy for Firefox [Feature Request]

more options

I'm trying, unsuccessfully, for some time to use a service I'm hosting on my local IIS to be the web proxy for my Firefox. Whether or not the service is done well is unimportant - the service is never called. So I assume (and it looks like I'm not the only one - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1123019#answer-877169 ) that Firefox can only accept a server name, not a specific url.

Can this functionality be added to Firefox?

You can request features on this page:

In the short run, you should be able to accommodate the way Firefox works. Did you place your proxy page in its own folder, given it a typical default page name (e.g., index.aspx), and define a new "website" in IIS manager for it? I think such a "website" can be assigned its own port (if not its own address).

Thanks. What am I supposed to do to leverage it having its own port in order for it to be considered a "server"?

Firefox's manual proxy settings take a server hostname/address and a port number.
