I have been trying to install aurora file (firefox-33.0a2.en-US.win32.install and install-stub). Both just sit and spin for many minutes. OS is win 7 pro.

Disable all of your toolbars, and try again.


If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

The stub might be causing issues, but the full installer should work.

Did you try to disable your anti-virus software temporarily?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
