I just updated to version 35.0 today. Now, everytime I restart my browser I am asked to make Firefox the default browser. I always says yes and tick the box to remember. That doesn't work. Searched help and did what was said by going into control panel and then programs and setting the default there. That didn't work either. I've never had this problem before. I'm at a loss of what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

I'm sorry. I'm not that computer savy and what you've said has gone right over my head. I THINK you're suggesting that I get into profiles and change that. I keep reading and following links and directions, but am unable to find my profile. Sorry.

There is a button on the troubleshooting information page (about:support) that you can open via "Help ^Troubleshooting Information" to go to the profile folder like I posted above. See:
