Firefox freezes on multiple wordpress tabs opened
When opening a few admin WP tabs - FFox freezes for a few seconds - it started with 36.0 I've re-installed FFox and it's still "buggy". Memory usage is about 65% and CPU about 55% when that happens. It happens on "vanilla" install (no addons installed). My best guess it's java-script issue of some sort - when browsing pages without ajax JS - everything is ok, but on WP admin pages ( wp uses a lot of ajax calls) it "freezes"... Same thing I tried to replicate on Chrome - and Chrome works without problems .... Please FIX this as I prefer FFox !

Hi peterbra, Thank you for your question, I understand that Firefox freezes on the wp admin panel. Please make sure your word press is up to date.
I checked and it seems to work for my test account. Does this happen in Safe Mode? Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
Same here. It is really frustrating when this occurs.
I do not experience this issue at all when I use Chrome to do the same task. Thus I have been using Chrome when working on our Wordpress site.
I would prefer using Firefox as a again it is a hassle having to switch between the two browsers.
I understand that this is frustrating, however in order to investigate and narrow down the root cause, please open up a question in webcompat.com. As I can only suggest these troubleshooting steps for performance in Firefox:
Thank you for elaborating. Currently the Nightly version of Firefox update more often then the stable releases of Firefox. It is on a rapid release cycle.
Do you happen to have the version number of nightly when this started happening? This can help create a regression window :-)
If you are interested in providing a website example this could help create a bug. With the websites, there are have these tools to test the performance of the profile as well: This will test the javascript engine on desktop: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Reporting_a_Performance_Problem and for android local host builds these test can be reproduced here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../Profiling_with_the_Built-in_Profiler#Profiling_Firefox_mobile
We look forward to your reply
