I have noticed MacKeeper found what it called harmful files or (virus?) in the Library.. Rather than quarantine them, I deleted them.. Then, after a Firefox (beta) update, there were 6 more files.. so, I quarantined them. and took a look at the file info which was quite long, and found the name "Firefox" in the info..

I'm now wondering if MacKeeper was contributing to the gradual slowing of Firefox loading web pages. Eventually, it got so bad the page would hang forever and a force quit was necessary. Safari did not have any such problem, and in fact was quite fast loading large web pages.

MacKeeper is not intuitive in it's configuration, or operation .. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of it .. once I figure out how to do that.

If you have MacKeeper.. how do you keep it from messing with Firefox? Thanks, Regards, Michael

PS: here's a pic of some files MacKeeper didn't like..see attached:

Thanks edmeister... Some good info there..

Awhile back I ran across steps to make MacKeeper more friendly toward Firefox.. I was hoping someone on this list might remember those steps. Perhaps i can search the Mozilla support records more closely.. I like Firefox, am running the beta version and have contributed to their cause .. Methinks, MacKeeper will have to go...
