Can't download -all- of my googlemail e-mails.
I am using thunderbird as a "backup" tool to download all my e-mails from googlemail. I'm using POP3 and I'm only downloading e-mails and not trying to send e-mails through thunderbird.
So I did get an e-mail from google which asked me to allow the access for thunderbird. DONE And I did setup the googlemail account for the POP3 delivery. DONE (maybe with misstakes?)
Until now thunderbird did a great job downloading round about 24.000 e-mails .. starting in the year 2007 until July 2012. While doing so I got a message that the folder is full ... so I started doing subfolders - one for each year .. which fixed the overload problem. After this thunderbird went on downloading my e-mails but only until July 2012. Now if I start the software it checks for new e-mails but it always tells me "no new e-mails available" ... so all e-mails of the years 2013,2014 and even the recent ones of 2015 will not show in thunderbird.
Is anyone able to tell me why?
Thanks and cheers, Markus

perhaps just backup using the google offered MBOX file and not use a mail reader software as a backup program.
See https://www.google.com/settings/takeout/custom/gmail,calendar
If you still want to use Thunderbird import the Google supplied MBOX file with this add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/
