How do I make new bookmarks appear at the end of the Bookmarks Toolbar instead of the beginning?

I drag tabs onto the Bookmarks Toolbar to add them there. They used to appear at the end, but now they appear at the beginning. I cannot find a setting to change it back. I tried an Add-On called Roomy Bookmarks, but that does the same thing and lacks a setting to change also.

The <strike>tab</strike> bookmark should be placed in the location where you drop it on the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Do you at least see the selection arrows when you are between two bookmarks?

You can drag a link or tab or globe/padlock (Site Identity Button) on to the bookmark's star or "Show your bookmarks" button to open the drop-down list and drop the bookmark in the position where you want it.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I started in safe mode and discovered the problem was an Add-On for Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar. It makes the arrow disappear when dropping bookmarks and forces them into the wrong position. I'm working on trying to find a fix now that I know where the problem is. Thanks!
