Microsoft Silverlight not working after upgrade to Windows 10. It returns a 6013 error when used to play amazon videos. It works fine with MicrosoftEgde though.
Everything was working fine before updating to Windows 10. After the update, when I try to watch a video on Amazon Video or on Netflix, I get the Silverlight error message "A problem has occurred with the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Your hardware configuration has changed in a significant way and the DRM state is no longer valid". The error code is 6013. Of course, I haven't changed the hardware configuration of my laptop, which is the same as of when I bought it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall silverlight, tried the "hard clean" of silverlight listed on its support pages and also contacted the Microsoft support, but the issue wasn't solved. Strangely enough though, while Firefox is having all these problems, Internet Explorer and Edge are doing great and let me watch the videos. Please, solve this problem, I don't want to be forced to abandon my favorite browser because it lacks compatibility!

One of solution leads to this :
- Close Firefox (menu '3-bar'-->Quit Firefox(in bottom)) or simply clock 'X' sign.
- Go to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady"
- search for "mspr.hds" and Delete it.
Open Firefox again, launch the video . If a sliverlight video popup comes then click on "Yes" . This should leads to start working videos again.
Note : The Microsoft\PlayReady folder is mostly hidden by default ,so you need to search it by typing full path or change the preference of file and folder .
Amazon provind a details guide for this error ,which may also help you : http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201523250 . For Netflix,a support guide I found is here: https://support.netflix.com/en/node/201
Another way to try : If you would try to run the videos with flash player then you can "Disable Silverlight " from "menu(3-bar)>addons > plug-ins>" and from drop down select "Never active" . Then restart your firefox and choose "flash instead of sliverlight (a pop will come)".
