I need to change font to large size but it slows down firefox.

My vision is poor so I need to change the font on firefox to 18 and everytime I do, firefox slows to a crawl. I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5 on my MacBook. Thanks for any help I can get. Peggy Day

How and where in the Firefox user interface do you change the font size?

You can look at the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
