Sometimes will not sent because it asks for an attachment when there isn't one. V.42

Sometimes, when I try to reply, "sent" hangs waiting for an attachment. There isn't one. I have seen some posts but can't seem to fix the problem without copying my reply and making a new draft to send.

A. are you really running version 42? Version 42 is a beta

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode

Yes, it's 42 -- just loaded. This happens only occasionally. When it happens again, I will follow your suggestion and report back. Thanks for your help.
