Can't download new emails since updating today.

With the latest update I now have version 38.6.0. I have not been able to get any new emails since installing the update. I know there are some as they show up on my tablet. The line at the bottom of the screen says "Connected to pop.telus.net", but the green download bar just keeps cycling.
