Here is the situation:

I am going to be on the subway, and there is no connection there. I am reading the newspaper using Firefox. I open 10 tabs for articles to read on the subway. I get on the subway. I select a tab. The article I selected displays. I see the bar at the top of the page move, indicating that Firefox is trying to access the Internet (which it can't) The page I am looking at is over-written with "Server not found" warning page I cannot get back to the page I want to read.

This problem is frustrating. Luckily it does not happen every time. But it happens, maybe, every fourth time.

Essentially, I want Firefox to not access the Internet in the subway. How do I do that?

Hi

One way to solve this issue would be to make use of Reader View. This will allow you to save the story on your device to read back later on, irrespective of the web connection. You can read more about Reader View here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

Thank you very much. I will try it during the Monday commute.
