Download dialogue preference for MP3 filetype isn't being saved.
When I click on a download link to an MP3 file, I get the dialogue box asking what Firefox should do with this type of file, even though I set it to open it with Windows Media Player. I've tried the suggestions Mozilla gave, but nothing works. What is going on?

Hi phoenix1991.
You can adjust Firefox behavior for each file type in Applications panel - Set how Firefox handles different types of files. But It depends on the mime type header send by the server, so it does not have to work every time, e.g. when the server does not specify it's an mp3 file.
Can you please past here concrete link or site, where it does not work for you?
Regards, Michal
Hi, Mich. Phoenix1991 again. The website where I run into this problem is lds.org. It happens on every MP3 download link on the site.

I have found some mp3 files here and the procedure described here works for me. Just select your favorite media player from the list, check Do this automatically for files like this from now on option as shown in the screenshot and click OK button. The next time, Firefox will do the same for similar files.

I tried ticking the checkbox to do this automatically, but get the dialogue box every time. Maybe it may have something to do with the computer itself.
