How do I check if plug-ins are current?

more options

Adobe Flash Player was repeatedly crashing and I got a link to a Mozilla page showing my plug-ins and which were outdated. I proceeded to update Flash Player, but Acrobat was also listed, and I think there was another. But I can't find my way back to the list.

Hi, I think you're referring to this page:

https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

There is a link to it on the Add-ons page, Plugins section, which you can reach using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Above the list should be a link to check for vulnerable or outdated plugins.

About the Adobe Acrobat/Reader plugin:

There have been some problems with Adobe's version numbers, so you may constantly be told by the plugin check page that this plugin is not up-to-date. To make sure you really are up-to-date, go ahead and start the stand-alone Adobe program (Reader or Acrobat) and use its Help menu to Check for Updates.

Some day that will be straightened out!

If you notice any other odd information on the plugin checker, please let us know so we can look into it.
