Address book problem - multiple contacts with same email address. Address book changes the names of all to the same name. How to keep all separate names in add
I have just added a long list of professional colleagues to my address book and wanted to set up a mailing contact list. There are a number who share professional rooms in their practices and use the same email address. I set up a contact for each with their own name in the "name section" and then the email address. Thunderbird has kept the first person in any list which has the same email address but changed all subsequent people to the same name as the first one.
So now when I try to send a group email all the ones that go to one email address are addressed to the same person not the two three or more that I originally set up.
How do I keep all contacts names from being modified?

Have you checked inside your Address Book? In my experience, the individual Contacts will be there but it doesn't know which one you mean. In messages, Thunderbird will see the address and give you the first instance it discovers in the address book. I have never seen Thunderbird change the contents of individual Contacts in the way you're describing.
All this sharing of email addresses sounds very UN-professional and in fact downright amateurish. Is there no respect for client confidentiality amongst these so-called professionals?
