I am trying to install my gmail account in Thunderbird, but I keep getting the following error: "Configuration could not be verified - is your username or password wrong?

Username is (myemailhandle)@gmail.com. I've verified that I'm using the correct password.

2-step verification is off, and I have allowed less secure apps, but still get the error.
