Thunderbird email hangs up, doesn't download, even after uninstalling and re-installing.
At start this morning, formerly functioning Thunderbird 52.2.1 hangs up with spinning green wheel on In-box. I can see old messages, write new ones, but it doesn't download new email. Activity seems to be hung up on "indexing messages" and I get this (unreadable to me) on Error Console: Component returned failure code: 0x80550005 [nsIMsgFolder.updateFolder] dbViewWrapper.js:93 FolderNotificationHelper_notifyOnLoad resource://gre/modules/dbViewWrapper.js:93:7 DBViewWrapper_open resource://gre/modules/dbViewWrapper.js:796:7 FolderDisplayWidget_show chrome://messenger/content/folderDisplay.js:803:9 FolderPaneSelectionChange chrome://messenger/content/commandglue.js:352:3 onselect chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul:1:1 ftv_selectFolder chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:555:5 mailTabType.modes.folder.restoreTab chrome://messenger/content/mailTabs.js:218:15 restoreTab chrome://messenger/content/tabmail.xml:992:11 restoreTabs chrome://messenger/content/tabmail.xml:1016:18 atStartupRestoreTabs chrome://messenger/content/msgMail3PaneWindow.js:773:5 loadStartFolder chrome://messenger/content/msgMail3PaneWindow.js:868:23

Does problem go away? Please post to let us know results.
I tried that. Didn't work. And then -- without being in safe or turning off computer -- the problem simply resolved itself. Go figure. And thanks.
Very strange, but it can happen. Thanks for the update.
