Reinstalled pc today and so also firefox. Now the address bar is as wide as it can be, not showing the search bar. When I look in customize I can see it, but when I exit customize it disappears again, even when I move it to the additional toolbar.

I did meddle customizing the buttons before the disappearance.

Also, typing in the address bar does not look in the history anymore.

See https://imgur.com/5QyL3uY and https://imgur.com/K8Jn2nH as I cannot seem to upload these images to this place.

Sorry for the confusion, this may be an experiment. Could you try this:

Type or paste about:studies in the address bar and press Enter (or Return) to load that page.

If you are enrolled in a user interface experiment, it should be listed on this page and there should be a way to uninstall/remove or to opt out.

Can you find it there?

More info about SHIELD studies and how to opt out globally if you prefer: About Studies.

I did find similar problems here earlier, but none of the solutions worked.

The moment I clicked on 'remove' the search bar appeared again. So thank you for that. :)
