Cannot print Google Documents/Sheet
Hi
I use Google and all its tools with Firefox but now I cannot print Google Docs or Sheets. Instead it opens up a PDF Save or Open menu . See attached
Sorry to say but Chrome works just fine

Couldn't let it go just yet and came across many threads, all with the exact same problem - no solutions ......
Then I found this, but that probably won't be of much help either I'm afraid :

Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.4 with a Full Version Installer

Hi !
Would you please take a look at the Chosen Solution in this thread and see if it will work for you as well :
Hi
I tried but basically this is way over my head...
I open the Folder but how do I "Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup" and were do I find the "mimeTypes.rdf"? Not in the Profile anyway.
I have uninstalled Acrobat Reader but does not help and I need it..
Sorry

My interpretation is : " Just wait a few secs .... "
and were do I find the "mimeTypes.rdf"? Not in the Profile anyway.
The current Firefox releases use 'handlers.json' and no longer use 'mimeTypes.rdf' - I should have realized (sorry ..... )
So I should:
1/ Open my Firefox profile folder 2/ In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. Opens my Profile in Windows Explorer. 3/ Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, 4/ Wait a few seconds while Firefox finishes its cleanup 5/ Rename handlers.json to something like handlers.old. 6/ Start Firefox back up, and it should build a new handlers.json file from the Windows registry and plugin data.
Ok?

Sounds good to me - but remember : I'm only hoping that the solution that worked for somebody else over a year ago, will work for you as well.
Sorry it did not help. Firefox still sees a GDOC or GSHEET file as a PDF-file.

Bummer !
Would you take a look at this (you'll have to scroll down some) :

Does this help ?
Does this by any chance look familiar ?
Yes, seem to be the same problem. But it's still not solved...
And still a problem even after uninstalling Adobe Acrobat so I am not sure it is a Acrobat problem...

That's why I asked if it looked familiar - if uninstalling doesn't solve the problem, there's no point looking in that direction. Again : bummer ! That Google Support link : no good either, eh ? Quite frankly : I haven't a clue what the solution could be, but I'm sure that somebody else will come to your rescue ........ (fingers crossed)
Hi
No worries. It's an annoying problem not a show stopper.
Sorry, Google link is about the same work around as saving or open a pdf-file and the print
Thank you anyway, you did try. Thank you

Hi Happy112
It helped but the thing is, it seems to expected behavior in Firefox and Safari! Google has two versions of printing. One for Chrome and one for Firefox/Safari. I looked it up in Google Docs Help
I did not know that, sorry. But I use both Chrome (work) and Firefox (personal) and I print more in my work than personal so I thought they should behave the same. They do not.
Case closed. Thank you

Yes, exactly ! Google doing what's best for Google ......
Case closed. Thank you
My pleasure, although : I haven't really 'solved' anything ......
