Hello, I use a few sites that store some settings in cookies. Some sites set short expiration dates on those cookies, others change values when I use special link (e.g. redirects me to local site when I want to use global site etc.). I need a way to lock (make read only) cookie value (and edit cookie expiration date - but that's easy). I know better what I want and don't want the site to change my settings especially as this requires many unnecessary actions to revert. I want to set it once and forget about it.

Prior to FX Quantum I used Cookies Manager+ extension for that and of course this was not ported to WebExtensions standard... So my question is how to accomplish this in Quantum. I don't need an extension - any possibility is acceptable as long as I don't have to write a signed extension. I can change cookie expiration date directly updating specific record in cookies.sqlite/moz_cookies table but see no way to lock cookie value so the page can not modify it but still could read it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards, A.

Please search for an extension here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ Copy/Paste search words (will know why say copy/paste) Cookie Manager is there, will have to review what else to suit your needs.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hello Pkshadow,

thanks for taking interest but unfortunately this does not help at all. None of cookie managers available as addon for Quantum have desired functionality as they are very basic. I already checked all I could find. Only Cookie Manager+ available as legacy addon has this.

All I need is any way to lock cookie to make it read only (not changeable by parent site). Cookie Manager+ was just an example where that feature is available and what's missing for Quantum.

Regards, A.

I can' believe this is not possible. This would be a huge step backwards. Nobody have any ideas?
