How can I speed up the download of a web page from an email link
I'm having difficulty with my emails and using links from them to a website takes a very long time to open. My browser is Mozilla, some of my emails come via Thunderbird. My broadband provider is Plusnet, through which I get my Plusnet emails and Yahoo/BT emails. I use the Yahoo/BT email address to correspond with people and firms I do not know personally. I use the Thunderbird and Plusnet email addresses to corresspond with friends. I'm not very computer literate so help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, if using Thunderbird you may want to check here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird
Is this problem only with links from e-mails? What about links found on web pages?
Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried that, I'll have a go and let you know the result. Many thanks.

Email downloads depends on if it is a html or just plain txt download and where the download is coming from not from your email.

I have tried hyperlinks on Web pages and these do not work. Can you help, please?
Hi, There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate. This could block loading of the URL.
No idea of Extensions being used : But since on Win 10 will go direct to this : Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 60.0.1 with a Full Version Installer
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I'm sorry to say I have made 2 attempts, but unfortunately I'm still having the same problems. The annoying part is that to download Firefox again I used Google and these problems aren't occurring with Google. I would much prefer to stay with Firefox so I really do hope we can sort out the problems. Many thanks to you for taking the time to help.
