Upon closing a tab, another tab widens full width and height, hiding other windows in my multiple-windows working layout. What do I do to stop this annoying behavior?

What is in that window? Blank? Ads? Web page?
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad / pop-up blocker.
