When I try to save an image, the browser doesn't automatically recognize the extension, asking to "save as..all files".How can I solve?Until yesterday it worked.
If i go to "about: preferences -> look for content or application type" I can not find any image files.

When I look at your screenshot, I don't recognize the extension either... Could you change your Windows settings to show all file extensions, including common ones like.jpg and .png? See: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-show-file-extensions-in-windows/
If a site is not sending an image content type, Firefox won't know how to handle the file. This varies from site to site...

but.. until few hours, it worked although no visible extension.
Sorry, I can't explain it. I have set Windows to show all file extensions for the past 20 years, so I don't know what is supposed to happen when it's not set that way.
for today I'm ok with visible extensions. Thanks :)
