Email sends but then stalls on 'Copying message to Sent folder...'
I've just installed Thunderbird for the first time and have set up my first email account, using IMAP (see below for my troubleshooting info), I'm receiving and sending emails successfully, but when I have sent an email, it gets stuck on a dialogue box (as per attached screenshot) saying it's 'Copying message to Sent folder' - however long I leave it it just sits there until I hit Cancel. No copy of the email is appearing in my sent folder.
Having looked at other threads on similar problems, I can confirm that in Account Settings/Copies & Folders I have the box ticked to place a copy in the sent folder and I have the box ticked against the Sent folder in the 'Subscribe' settings. I can also confirm that the outgoing server settings are as advised by my email provider (Plusnet - they don't allow SSL so I'm stuck with my password being transmitted insecurely).
I'd be grateful for any other ideas on how to fix this please!
Many thanks, Lucy

I seem to have found the solution myself!
When I first connected to my email server three folders were automatically created (Drafts, Sent, Spam), all as subfolders of the Inbox. So I tried changing the setting in Account Settings/Copies & Folders to 'Other' and specifying the Sent folder in the Inbox and that seems to have fixed it - I'm now getting a copy of sent items saved on the server and in the specified folder.
