Should I add the Norton Security extension to Firefox?
Question is all the detail that you need.
But I thought I set up an account when I donated and it was not recognized so I had to set up another.

I don't use Norton products myself, so I don't know what benefits it might offer.
Some security suite add-ons will mark safe and unsafe sites on your searches, which could be helpful. However, some change your searches to use a different site, which could be annoying. If you enable it and suddenly can't search where you want, that could be a reason to disable it again.
For future reference, you can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage.
Thank you for responding so quickly but I was hoping for a quick yes or no from a Norton subscriber.
Hi
I used to use Norton products myself a number of years ago and never found a good reason to install the toolbar.
When you install some protection programs, among others, a toolbar is also installed. Some work well with the browser. Some do not. If there is a problem using it, disable it.
