Firefox isn't a search engine it is a Browser. Oath and yahoo aren't part of mozilla so you will have to contact them about their software issues.
You can use another search engine if you aren't willing to accept their permissions.

Firefox is a web browser as a Search Engine would be for example Duckduckgo.com, Bing.com, Google.com, Yahoo.com etc.
Are you trying to search on yahoo.com as how are you doing searches ?
No version of Firefox for any locales comes with the Yahoo search Engine as one of the search engine defaults anymore since the Firefox 59.0 Release. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/712925
