All indexes mixed up. 150 msf files. Should I delete all of them?

Installation of newest version has mixed up all the indexes. Many messages have no content. Many have different titles, but identical content There are over 150 msf files in the profile Will I be safe in deleting all msf files in order to rebuild the indexes? Thanks. Trevor

It's safe to delete msf files, while TB is closed, but keep in mind that IMAP folders will be re-downloaded, which could take some time before the index files are regenerated.

Thanks for that. When I looked at the whole disk I found 1500 plus of them including some from providers I have stopped using years ago.

I have set about deleting them all.
