"A copy of thunderbird is already open" message. No TB open.
Seemingly out of the blue, I started getting this error message. TB 68.7. I've downloaded an older version, which didn't help. I tried restoring from backup, but no change. Mac 10.15.4 Please help. thx.

Restarted computer, all is well now. :-)

PS Finder tells me this app was created/modified Apr 8, though I'm unaware of any changes or updates.
I've now clicked on the TB hard disk icon in Finder, another version of 68.7 downloaded, but with a message "This installation of TB has a new profile. It does not share email data, passwords, prefs, address books w/ other TB installations." ?????
