Hi,

I have recently changed my first choice browser to Firefox. But when connecting to my bank the F-secure bank safe connection doesn't open (it still does on Edge).

When searching solutions I found on F-secure support that a requisite for bank protection on Firefox was to active an add-on in Firefox called "Browsing Protection by F-Secure". But I can't find it. Is this Firefox add-on deleted? (I have surched the archive/store.)

Do you have any other solutions how to activate the F-secure bank safe connection, and some kind of F-secure browsing protectiona s well?

Best regards / Gunnar J

Hi Gunnar, I think you need to get this extension as part of your F-Secure subscription -- as far as I know, it isn't freely available on other sites.

A few versions ago, Firefox stopped scanning the Registry for third party extensions on your system and publishers are supposed to provide an alternate means of installing in Firefox 73+.

Could you check the steps in their help article here:

2. If the extension is not listed in your browser, you need to reinstall it manually.
a. Open the product from the Windows Start menu.
b. On the Antivirus page, select Settings.
c. Select Secure Browsing.

If you use Firefox, click Install Firefox extension under Browser extensions.

3. Click Reinstall extensions under Browser Extensions.

Does that work?

Hi,

Thanks for your quick answer!

I checked the link you sent, the instructions on the page, and your instructions. Since no extension in the browser I tried to install manually, according your and the F-secure instructions. I opened F-secure/Antivirus page/Settings/Secure browsing. But, there is no option here, under Browser extensions, to install the Firefox extension, only to install for Chrome via their web store. Neither the “Reinstall extension” button worked.

I guess I have to check with the F-secure support what to do, since their own instructions doesn’t work.

Have a nice day!

Best regards

Gunnar
