I greatly dislike the "save as PDF" feature, but since Firefox for Android gives me no other option, I've been using it to save webpages as long as I've been using Firefox for Android.

I don't seem to be able to find "save as PDF" in Firefox Daylight. When will you be adding that feature?

I am forced to use a different browser until you add that feature back. Thanks.

Just guessing on my part, but it seems to me that this issue is related to Digital Rights Management and how Mozilla chooses to resolve the issue.

They're going to bring it back. You can follow issue #3709.

Hi

Save as .pdf is currently not available in Firefox for Android, but may be included in a future update. In the meantime, if you hold down the volume "-" and the power button on your device, Android will take a screenshot and save it to your pictures.

Hi abstractinvocations, which browser are you using to Save as PDF?

Depending on your device, you may have something like the following:

menu > Share > Samsung Print Service Plugin

Firefox passes the URL of the page to the print service, which has a Save to PDF option. This works for public pages, but doesn't work for content that can only be viewed when you are logged in.

Thank you Seburo and jscher2000 for your tips.

If the page is only one screen, a saved image might work. Thanks for the instruction. It would be even worse than a PDF, but it might work. It could get annoying if the page required multiple images.

I tried to Share the page, hoping that it would let me save it as a print ready page. My Motorola phone didn't cooperate. I did share it to my own email account, but it just sent the URL. Thanks for the tip, I hadn't thought of that either.

Just guessing on my part, but it seems to me that this issue is related to Digital Rights Management and how Mozilla chooses to resolve the issue. Not an easy fix I imagine.

thanks, abstractinvocations Dave
