I can’t find a straightforward way to download pdf files from the web using Firefox for iOS.

Let’s say I’m trying to download this file here: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tests/xhtml/testfiles/resources/pdf/dummy.pdf

I would like to save this file to my Telegram Saved Messages, where I usually keep stuff temporarily for later review. Using the Firefox share menu, I will select Telegram as a destination to share the file. Yet, this does not actually save the file. Instead I get a long link with the file name in it when I go back to Telegram to check the result. Something like this: file:///private/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/00855652-3082-4F3B-90E0-59ECA594F113/tmp/TempDocs/dummy.pdf

This obviously doesn't help, and I usually work around this by copying the pdf link to another app (eg, Safari, Readdle Documents) and saving it from there. But this is not very practical, especially with files that require login to view. It works be much more convenient and streamline to have this all done within Firefox itself.

Attempting to share the file using other applications (eg, WhatsApp, Signal) will also give the same result.

What's the best way to solve this problem?
