How difficult is to make a simple basic function like search (CTRL-F) to work properly?

A basic search CTRL-F is not functioning, need to update and restart. Very frustrating. Addicted Firefox user for years. But this is why users switch to other browsers and the community perishes. Common guys!!! Sad!

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Problem solved after upgrading from version 84 to version 84.0.1 and restart. But it's very frustrating. My problem seems similar with the one here: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1306525] Text to search in a simple textarea, searching for it just to compare that the two texts are identical, but nothing highlighted.

@FredMcD: I really appreciate your support and work, but a very long or technical response as the one here: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1306525] will not help the average user (it's not my case with 25+ years of system administration, web development and IT security). A basic function like search just HAVE TO WORK! (sorry for the caps), regardless the context, running scenarios or any other plug-in installed.

Usually in order to solve a bug someone needs to find a way for the developers to replicate it, or track down relevant error messages (for example, in the Browser Console, Ctrl+Shift+j).
