I've a folder with system emails, ~4k of them. I want to direct delete these (no bin). When I select 20 or so, it can be done. When I selected ~2000 and hit shift-del - nothing happens. I've waited minutes, but I expected to see some feedback at least, however nothing came.

I'm using thunderbird with exchange connection btw.

Any way out of this?

Oh bugger, it's worse. The whole program is now un-responsive, the calendar is disconnected and I can't delete anything anymore.

Maybe it's working on it in the background...but there's absolutely no indication of what's happening, so I can't be sure. 10+ minutes now. This is ridiculously bad. :(

If you are using the owl addon, I suggest you look up their support as there is basically nothing Thunderbird does normally that is invoked using that addon.
